Polish club Lechia Gdansk captain Camilo Mena has publicly stated that his next move will be across the Atlantic. In a meeting with club president Paolo Urfer at the Warsaw headquarters, Mena outlined his desire to join a North or South American side before the MLS transfer window closes on 2 September.

Local Gdansk outlet Trojmiasto.pl confirmed that neither Rangers nor French side AS Saint‑Étienne have submitted an official offer for Mena. Despite media reports suggesting Rangers were actively pursuing the winger, no written proposals or formal terms have reached Lechia Gdansk.
Interest from Americas
Mena’s name has surfaced in transfer chatter from Brazilian heavyweights Palmeiras and Botafogo, as well as an unnamed Major League Soccer club. The winger’s preference for a move to the Americas is seen as a way to be closer to home, and the MLS window remaining open until 2 September makes a North‑American transfer a realistic option.
Rangers’ Summer Signings
While Mena’s situation is being clarified, Rangers are preparing to add a 12th signing of the summer, with Girona wide‑man Kim Min‑su expected to join the squad. Manager Derek McInnes is also looking to bring in an additional right‑sided winger and a striker to replace injured Youssef Chermiti, aiming for a total of 14 signings before the window closes.
The club’s focus on expanding its attacking options contrasts with Mena’s clear stance that he will not move to Scotland or France, and the lack of an official approach from Rangers underscores the uncertainty surrounding the winger’s future.
