With Derek McInnes‘ side kicking off their campaign with a trip to Dundee United on Friday, 31 July, the decision-makers must decide if it is worth sanctioning an exit for Chermiti this late in the window, even at the £25m price point. Chermiti is easily Rangers’ most valuable asset, and unless an interested suitor triggers the substantial £25m valuation demanded by the board, Ibrox chiefs must not even agree to sit at the negotiating table.
