Rangers may now face a battle to keep hold of Tuur Rommens this summer amid interest from Club Brugge. The 23-year-old Belgian only moved to Ibrox from Westerlo in the January transfer window. Rangers forked out a free reported to be over £3million to sign Rommens, who penned an initial three-and-a-half year contract. Rommens made 11 Scottish Premiership appearances under Danny Rohl last term, as the Gers' title challenge went up in smoke. He has featured three times for new boss Derek McInnes so far, but is currently out injured with a groin issue. Now, Brugge - who will play in the Champions League next season - may have given Rommens something to think about in terms of his future. Rangers have been linked with Club Brugge right-back Hugo Siquet, but the Belgian's were said to be reluctant to sell. Quite frankly, Rangers have to respond with the same cold shoulder here, because they cannot afford to let Rommens go right now. Rangers have easy Tuur Rommens decision to make. Rangers simply just reject all overtures for Rommens. The idea that they can sell a left-back right now given their lack of options at either full-back would be completely outrageous. James Penrice is reportedly on the cusp of joining Rangers from AEK Athens, but that was meant to be as a back-up to Rommens. It would have to be a bid that completely blows Rangers out of the water for this to be even be considered a possibility. League standing (final 2025 table -- new season not yet under way): 2nd in Premiership, 69 pts, 19W-12D-2L from 33 games, recent form WLLLL. Goals this season: 66 scored, 31 conceded (+35 goal difference). Title race: 1 point behind leaders Heart Of Midlothian. Last result: Falkirk 2-5 Rangers (2026-05-16). Recent form (last 5): 2W-0D-3L (WWLLL, most recent first); on a 2-game winning run. Rangers have to be careful not to lose Tuur Rommens. Rangers cannot afford to let Rommens go right now. Rangers have to respond with the same cold shoulder here.
