Rangers Injury Update: Thelo Aasgaard & Cammy Devlin 'Will Be Fine for Weekend'

Rangers manager Derek McInnes has confirmed that midfielders Thelo Aasgaard and Cammy Devlin will be fit for the Scottish Premiership season opener against Dundee United. The duo came off in the final pre-season friendly against West Ham United at Ibrox, with Aasgaard sustaining a shoulder injury and Devlin taking a kick in the calf.

McInnes expressed confidence in both players' recovery, stating, "Thelo landed on his shoulder a bit awkwardly, but we think he'll be okay for Friday, and Cammy took a kick in his calf and again will be fine for the weekend."

The Rangers manager was pleased with the team's performance in the goalless draw, saying, "In terms of the team we were up against, there was a demand for concentration needed for the game, and I thought, on that side of it, getting the clean sheet and not too many scares in the game, I thought we were quite alright."

However, McInnes was disappointed that his side couldn't give the 48,000 fans a goal or a victory in preparation, adding, "It is just disappointing we didn't make more of some good positions, either our final cross or turning down chances to shoot, and try to put them under a bit more pressure."
