Rangers have announced they have obtained more tickets for their upcoming Premier Sports Cup semi-final match versus Aberdeen, to be held at Hampden Park. The club shared this update, outlining a sales process for fans based on priority levels.
"Rangers can confirm that an additional allocation of tickets has been received for our upcoming Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Aberdeen at Barclays Hampden," a club statement read. These extra tickets were arranged after talks with the tournament organizers.
Sales timeline for priority groups
Tickets are first available to season ticket holders who are also MyGers members and have signed up for all extra home games. This first priority group can buy tickets starting on a Tuesday in October. A second group, made up of season ticket holders enrolled for all additional home matches, can purchase from a Wednesday. The purchasing period for these two groups ends on a Thursday. The club has emailed instructions directly to eligible fans in these categories.
If tickets are still available after that period, they will be made available to other groups. These later groups comprise season ticket holders who are MyGers members, then all remaining season ticket holders, and finally MyGers members. The club said it would notify qualified supporters directly should this happen.
How to purchase and important ticket rules
Fans must adhere to certain guidelines when buying. "Tickets for children under 14 must be purchased alongside an accompanying adult ticket or through an adult's ticketing account," the club stated. The child's account must be connected to the adult's using the Friends & Family feature in the ticketing system. Supporters wanting adjacent seats should complete their transactions together, as chosen seats cannot be altered after the online purchase.
Barclays Hampden uses only digital tickets. Physical tickets will not be provided. All tickets will be accessible through the Hampden Park Tickets App, which can be found on major app stores. The club offers a guide for using the app.
The semi-final approaches as Rangers hold second place in the league standings. Their recent performances include several victories and one tie in their last five league games. The team has a league fixture this weekend ahead of the cup match. Fans with inquiries can use the club's support service. The last opportunity for the first two priority groups to buy is on the Thursday morning.
